The Queen City has lots of fun activities for people to enjoy. Some of our favorites are visiting the Palace Theater, the SEE Science Center, the Currier Art Museum or creating our own art at MUSE Paintbar. All of these activities get your appetite going! Here are some popular lunch spots in Manchester for you to enjoy when you are out and about.
1) Republic, 1069 Elm St, Manchester, NH
This restaurant features locally Sourced, Farm-to-table Mediterranean meals and wine that are served all day in relaxed quarters featuring local artwork. Whenever we have an out of town visitor, this restaurant seems to top the “Must” visit list and has yet to disappoint! Enjoy their creative locally sourced dishes, many vegetarian options, the Moroccan Red Lentil Stew and the house made falafel. Outside seating in warmer weather on the Patio is a PLUS. And you can bring your dog.
2) The Bridge Café, 1117 Elm St, Manchester, NH
If you like going out for breakfast at lunch time, you’re in luck- Breakfast is served ALL Day here! You are bound to find a favorite from their expansive menu. People flock here for the pancakes, omelets, breakfast burritos and custom smoothies. Favorite lunch items include: The “Medusa Wrap” with Crispy eggplant, spicy feta and avocado. You might like to try one of their yummy salads: The “Strawberry Fields salad” comes with Gorgonzola, apple slices, walnuts, field greens and a homemade strawberry vinaigrette! This café is a popular stop on the weekends so make sure to get a table early. Outside patio seating is available in the spring and summer.
3) The Local Moose Café, 124 Queen City Ave, Manchester, NH
The Local Moose Café opened in 2015 and has been serving delicious meals from day one. This Farm to Table Café has already been voted Hippo’s- Best Locally Made Donuts! You need to try the popular Maple Bacon donut. It is a unique flavor that will have yopu coming back for more. Their menu offers many creative choices such as: the “Spiced Apple Free Ranger” which is a great twist on your regular egg sandwich with local spiced apples, local fried egg, & local cheddar cheese on a brioche. Their café is a great place to hang with friends and linger over a leisurely lunch or café au lait!
4) The Gyro Spot, 1073 Elm St, Manchester, NH
This place offers quick & casual Greek and Mediterranean fare. It’s conveniently located right next door to Republic. (See #1 above) It’s perfect when you want something fresh, delicious, inexpensive and fast! In addition to the traditional pork gyro, they also offer a healthier alternative to fast food sandwiches, serving chicken gyro, vegetarian gyro, salads and homemade Greek soups.
If you go in the warmer weather you will enjoy their sidewalk dining.

5) The Airport Diner, 2280 Brown Ave, Manchester, NH
This throwback diner is just 2 miles from the Manchester- Boston Regional Airport and attached to the Holiday Inn, this 1950’s Diner which is owned by the Common Man Restaurant group is open from 5am to Midnight daily. The Airport Diner has a setting that transports you back to the 1950’s. It is well known for their comfort food- like delicious frappes, pies or a rocking tuna melt. This diner is an affordable option for families or large groups and has a professional and friendly staff. Enjoy the cool, hip Diner vibe.
