Ready for Some Hockey? It's the CHAD Battle of the Badges

March 25, 2018 at 3:00 PM

The Battle of the Badges hits the ice again at the SNHU Arena on Sunday, March 25!  New Hampshire Police officers and Firefighters compete in this annual event  and everyone looks forward to this great rivalry.  The CHaD Battle of the Badges Hockey Championship is presented by AutoFair.  All donations and money raised goes to the foundation to support the kids and programs at Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock.  The fun starts at 3pm at the SNHU Arena.

Again this year, the Battle of the Badges Hockey Championship will play their annual game of Red vs. Blue to support the kids and programs at Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock. Last year, they saw a record $275,000 raised for CHaD, pushing the grand total to just shy of $2 million in the event's history. And they’re hoping to repeat or outdo last year’s success!

The Police officers won the fundraising battle and the match on the ice to improve the all-time series to 6-3 in the Police's favor.  This friendly rivalry is a highlight of the event each year.

The officers and firefighters who play in this year's game will raise at least $1,500 for the privilege to play on the ice. Most will surpass that goal, thanks in part to the relationship they build with their CHaD Buddy, a patient at CHaD.  This connection brings a real life meaning to the fund-raising efforts of each participant.  It is wonderful to see the good that being involved in this event does for both the players and the children from CHaD.  If you have a chance take in the fun yourself.  Tickets are available.
