Fall and Halloween Events Manchester NH

Residents in Manchester can enjoy a variety of fall and Halloween themed activities and and events during this time of year.  There are road races in town that welcome you to dress for the season and to bring your furry friends with you.  We love the 5K Howl-O-Ween that benefits the Animal Rescue League.  This race takes place at the Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.  Another fun night is the annual Halloween Costume Pub Crawl that takes place throughout the city from 2-5 pm.  Tickets insure that you will have a place at the pubs.  Awards for creative costumes are highly anticipated.    Your family will enjoy trick or treating in Manchester or the surrounding towns.  There are different hours and dates in various communities.

Follow the Vine

The Grape Vine…that is. Starting in Westerly, Rhode Island and ending on Cape Cod, The Coastal Wine Trail is a really great way to see the Beautiful Fall Foliage and some of New England’s Wineries. It is also an amazing way to sample some of the best wine in New England. There are 9 wineries on the Wine Trail and you can choose to stop at all of them, or pick and choose just one or two. Just make sure you have a designated driver!  Visit the Coastal Wine Trail site for more information.  If you want to stay even closer to home, try one of the many New Hampshire wineries that offer tours and tastings in the state of NH.

Vermont Country Store

Step Back In Time

Although it may feel like the world around us is getting more advanced by the day, there is one place in Vermont that refuses to age a day. At the Vermont Country Store in Weston, Vermont, everything on its shelves looks like it is from the 1940s. They have everything from old time clothes and snacks, to typewriters and rotary telephones. While you’re there, check out the covered bridge and beautiful scenery. All the info you need is at Vermont Country Store.  While in town check out the beautiful art galleries on Main Street, see a play at the Weston Playhouse or take a hike on a trail nearby.

Ziplining in NH

Ride the Line

Although many people get the opportunity to see the leaves and scenery from the ground, not many get to see the colors change from the sky! Visit Loon Mountain this fall, and take the leap down their 750ft Zipline. You will get priceless views of the Pemigewasset River, see New England foliage like never before, and you may even have a little fun while you’re at it! Check out all the details at Loon Mountain.  Not quite that adventurous?  While at Loon you can take a scenic ride in their gondola or hike up one of the ski trails to get great views of the fall colors.  Venture down route 112 from Loon and you are on the Kancamagus Highway.  This 34 mile road has some of the very best views of the fall colors.  Be warned…the road is very popular and you will see lots of other leaf peepers on the way.  Try visiting this area on a weekday to minimize the congestion.  In October, Loon Mountain hosts an Octoberfest weekend that is full of pumpkin patch activities, apple bobbing and costumes for Halloween.
