Hampton Beach: Activities and Night Life

Do you like a summer time get away that is not far from home?  Then Hampton Beach is the perfect place for anyone looking for a night of entertainment and endless fun. Grab a few friends, or maybe make it just you and that special someone, and head to Hampton N.H. for some laughs, memories or a feel-good kind of night.  You are lucky because Manchester is just 1 hour away from all the awesome fun!

The Hampton Beach boardwalk is super affordable and has tons of attractions! Hampton is the ideal spot for any adventure: from Buc’s Lagoon mini golf, to Blink’s Fry Doe, and the local fortune teller, Stella Davis, who has been there for 41 years running. They are all within minutes of each other.

Like to shop?   Along this strip are clothing stores like the Deja-Vu Boutique which features an array of women’s clothing. There are plenty of jewelry stores like Zinnia’s Jewelry where visitors can find accessories made of sea glass or an authentic Hampton Beach souvenir. Make sure you are hungry, as there are plenty of restaurants and bars offering both indoor and outdoor dining up and down the Hampton strip.  We like the Purple Urchin Seaside Café and Patio Pub. Here, visitors can experience live music, a full bar, and an extensive menu of seaside apps and tasty meals. After dinner head to the Fun-a-Rama arcade for some skee ball, an attempt at the classic claw machine, or take a shot at the old Casino Shooting Gallery. For those feeling extra daring, stop by Jim’s Henna Body Art for some summer ink - it’s temporary so don’t worry!

Looking to see a show? No problem-Hampton has plenty! The Hampton Beach Casino is a prime destination for music fans, or those seeking live entertainment. This summer’s shows at the Casino Ballroom include country stars Josh Turner (June 24th), Hunter Hayes (August 11th) and The Band Perry (August 19th).  American Idol Season 11 winner Phillip Phillips will perform with Matt Nathanson on July 1st followed by the Beach Boys on July 8th. There are also performances by tribute bands scheduled for June and July. The Fab Four will do the Ultimate Beatles Tribute on July 22nd and the Dark Star Orchestra will perform a tribute to the Grateful Dead on June 4th. On June 26th the Casino will host the Happy Together Tour Starring The Turtles featuring Flo & Eddie, Chuck Negron (formerly of Three Dog Night), Mark Lindsay (former lead singer for Paul Revere & The Raiders), Gary Puckett & The Union Gap, The Cowsills and The Spencer Davis Group. Soon after on July 16th, The Monkees will make their Hampton Casino Ballroom appearance. The Casino ballroom will also welcome comedy acts this summer by Bob Saget from the hit T.V. series Full House on July 7th and the Impractical Jokers July 28-29th.

No matter the occasion, Hampton Beach is the perfect spot for a night on the town-or boardwalk!
