Vintners with a Passion
Owner, Amy LaBelle has been crafting wines since 2001, first in her Boston apartment then expanding in Walpole, NH at Alyson’s Orchard and in her home in Amherst. A dream was finally realized when the state of the art La Belle Winery Bedford NH we see today on Rte 101 was opened in 2012. She and her husband, Cesar Arboleda, have developed a beautiful setting, produce extraordinary wines and have a commitment to southern New Hampshire. Their amazing winery combines state of the art wine making techniques with an old world feel in their tasting room, bistro and patio. Their events hall is beautifully appointed with stunning views and a spacious feel.
The Wines
When you visit you can sample a variety of Dry and Semi Dry Wines, Semi Sweet, Sweet and Sparkling Wines. The prices for tastings are $8 for a sampling of 5 wines. Test which ones are to your liking. You can buy a bottle of your favorite ones. The wine making vats are easy to see and you may even be lucky enough to see Cellar Master Cesar Arboleda at work. On a recent trip, the Red Oak team got an up close look at a dry white wine brewing in a huge stainless steel vat. Exciting to say the least. Enjoy a cheese board with your wine tasting for a real treat.
The Bistro
Food and Wine just seem to go hand in hand and at LaBelle there is a menu to satisfy the “foodie” in you. The chef is passionate about local ingredients and how they pair with the LaBelle wines. On a recent visit the chef prepared a wonderful top sirloin steak and perfectly pan seared scallops that was accompanied by tasty tater tots and roasted veggies.
Events
You can plan your own special occasion event or attend one of the excellent ones that La Belle Winery Bedford NH hosts. How about a Sunday afternoon at their Author Series, Yoga in the Winery, Cooking classes or Live Music on Thursday evenings.
