Elm Street Shopping in Manchester

Let’s start with the premier shopping street in the downtown- Hanover Street.  This is the hub for arts and entertainment in the city.  There are numerous art and boutique style shops along the first block of this historic street.  Looking for a woman’s boutique that offers the latest in upscale and unique fashion?  Then Statement: A Shop Estella Boutique is the place to go.  Located at 34 Hanover Street, this shop offers a personalized experience for customers.  Jewelry that is wearable art, chic and comfortable clothing and high fashion bags and accessories are all available at this location or on-line.

If your shopping habits focus on art, take time to stop at Diane Crespo’s Fine Art Gallery at 32 Hanover Street.  Diane’s beautiful landscape paintings in oils and pastels will make a wonderful addition to your home or apartment.  Looking for a unique gift?  Give a certificate for a drawing or painting class with Diane.

Another beautiful art studio is located at 81 Hanover Street.  Studio Verne features the fused glass art of Verne Orlosk.  She uses color and glass to create one of a kind pieces that will wow you.  We are big fans of her oak leaf pieces.

Venture to Elm Street for more Shopping Treats

One of the new comers to Elm Street is a gift shop called Pop of Color at 816 Elm Street.  This is the place to go for gifts for your home, friends and pets.  Downtown really needed a store like this one.  You will love it’s bright and cheery interior that is very inviting.  They have a great variety of items that are branded for Manchester and NH.  Mugs, trays, tee shirts and home décor all are locally crafted when possible and reasonably priced.

Want a shopping experience that is a treat for all your senses?  Dancing Lion Chocolates at 917 Elm Street is a fantastic place to go to see, smell and taste the best confections and chocolates in the city.  Once a month they host a croissant bake.  Stop by for a hot chocolate or coffee with a croissant on these special days.  Dessert nights on Saturday evenings from 7pm -10pm are a great way to top off a trip to downtown for dinner.  Of course, you can buy chocolate bars and truffles any time.

Runners Alley at 669 Elm Street is a specialty store that focuses on everything that has to do with running, walking and fitness.  Their sneaker inventory is amazing and you will not get a better shoe fitting anywhere else.  The store is open 7 days a week and is a great place to go if you want to find out about local run clubs and races.

Georges Apparel at 675 Elm Street has everything a man could want to be well dressed.  The store boasts over 3,000 sport coats and suits on the premises.    Also look for Tux rentals, raincoats, shirts, ties and accessories.  Service and free tailoring is what sets Georges apart.
