market basket

Market Basket – 460 Elm Street in Manchester, NH

Manchester’s only downtown grocery store is Market Basket at 460 Elm Street.  This urban oasis offers the largest variety of groceries, produce and meats in the city of Manchester.  The pride with which this store operates is keyed off the founders’ values for good prices, friendly service and a wide variety of goods.   Because of these beliefs, Market Basket is always busy and full of life.  Shopping early or later in the day is a good tip to follow as the crowds may be lighter then.  Be sure to sample the fare in their kitchen area for delicious readymade foods, salads and pizzas.  The meat cutters at Market Basket are expert butchers.  Need a specialty cut of meat for an occasion, they can do that.  A crown roast, rack of lamb or prime rib is never a problem. Parking is easy at this location and the staff is always ready to answer your questions.  One fact to consider when shopping at Market Basket is that the layout of their stores takes a bit of time to get used to.  The center aisles of the store house paper goods, toiletries and soaps, etc.  Many prefer that these items be in a separate corner of a store.  All in all, Market Basket is economical, easy and convenient. Market Basket wants to be more than just a local grocery store to its employees and patrons and believes in a, “legacy of loyalty, discipline, respect, fairness, and honesty”.  This store is located directly across Elm Street from Red Oak’s newest luxury apartment community.
