Outdoor Fun: A Walk Along the River

Walk Along the River

Outdoor Fun in Manchester is not hard to find!  May we suggest a walk along the river?  Try the Riverfront Trail in Manchester NH

Hands Across the Merrimack Bridge

This Heritage trail is 6.1 miles long and has a great access point at Arms Park in downtown.  Portions of the trail are paved and are great for cyclists and joggers.

You can continue on the trail to the Hands Across the Merrimack footbridge that connects the Fisher Cats Ballpark to Red Oak Apartment Homes’ Village on Second Street Apartments.

The trail continues from this point all the way to Goffstown.  A new bike trail allows you to ride or roller blade all the way from Manchester to Goffstown.

Enjoying this beautiful trail is a year round pleasure.  The summer months are best for biking, walking and roller skating. The winter months are perfect for a walk, jog or a snowy day cross country ski trek.

If you are looking for a beautiful place to take a walk try the river front park along the Merrimack River. This quiet and peaceful walk follows the east bank of the river.

Parking is available in the Millyard at one of the metered spaces.

The Red Oak reporter recently walked the path from Granite Street to Bridge Street. I would suggest a picnic lunch to enjoy near the UNH Manchester campus.

Walks like these are relaxing and good for you. Try it today!

If you are looking for a great apartment near this amazing outdoor trail we can help.  Check out our offerings at  Red Oak Apartment Homes
