Summer Sports in Manchester Means its Time for Baseball!
Summer time in New England means it’s baseball season! There are lots of great ways to enjoy America’s favorite past time. Some of them are traditional with historic value, and some are new ways that are more affordable and local than the big-league ball parks. Living in NH means the big draw is the professional baseball team –The Boston Red Sox. They play at historic Fenway Park in Boston Massachusetts. Watching this team offers a fan with a passion & love for the game a chance to see the big-league players up close and personal. Fenway is an iconic park and seating gets you close to the players. I remember being on the third base lines once and being able to hear the short stop whistling to himself between pitches. If you can go early to a game be sure to take in a tour of the park too. It’s the iconic place to see Summer Sports and it’s close to Manchester NH.
See the Fisher Cats Play Summer Sports
If you can’t get to Fenway, there are also some great semi-professional baseball teams that are much more affordable and closer to us in Manchester, NH. These teams offer the feel of the big leagues without the big price. Our favorite team would be the NH Fisher Cats. Playing at North East Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester NH, the Fisher cats are a semi-professional baseball team that is affiliated with the Toronto Blue Jays of MLB. Game tickets and concessions are much more affordable compared to Fenway Park in Boston, and they even offer special nights for group outings & deals for fan appreciation! The ball park is new and beautiful and is a great place to see a game with family & friends. When they play the Portland Maine Sea Dogs expect a sold out crowd. There are many activities in the park to keep everyone entertained throughout the game.
